your holiday, our passion
When I opened our travel agency in Freiburg on 2 January 1998, we had three rail trips on our programme: a city trip to Leipzig, a rail trip to Upper Bavaria and the third trip was to Switzerland on the Glacier and Bernina Express. Our customers were all from the Fribourg area. We also sold tickets to earn money in the first place. Over the years, things have changed a lot. Our programme has expanded considerably, as has our customer base.
Our speciality is nostalgia trips on special trains. We often have our own trains on site, where you can take in the scenery and the trains from your window seat.
Our maximum number of participants is normally 30, but in exceptional cases, such as on our Märklin Club train journeys, it can be up to 40. This keeps things manageable and comfortable. You don't have to travel through the country with 200 or 350 people in large groups.
Enjoy time for your hobby and railway travel with nice people. That's what we've been trying to make possible for you with our rail journeys for over 20 years. Because your passion is also mine, as a railway fan since childhood. I look forward to welcoming you in person on one of our journeys.
Train names such as Royal Scotsman, Rovos Rail or Rocky Mountaineer conjure up images of wonderful rail journeys. Then all you have to do is lean back in the comfortable armchairs and let the scenery pass by outside the window.
It is important to us that you feel you are in good hands with us and that the service and value for money are right. Our holidays are certainly not cheap trips, because we want to offer you quality that you can rely on during your "most important time of the year". On many of our group tours, for example, we have special trains that have many more seats than passengers so that you can sit by the window and enjoy the journey. We have known most of our local hotels and partners for many years.
We have been organising club trips for the world's largest model railway manufacturer, Märklin Bros. from Göppingen, since 2006. This not only gives us pleasure, but it is also an honour to be able to work for this dream factory. We are also a little proud of the fact that we can organise train journeys for some world-famous orchestras. This not only saves the musicians inconvenient bus journeys or flights, but it is of course also a good contribution to climate protection in contrast to flying.
We endeavour to ensure that each and every one of you ends up saying the same thing as our customer who sent us a postcard after arriving in Vladivostok on the Trans-Siberian Railway:
"The end of a childhood dream, the beginning of a lifetime of memories..."
Best regards, Gregor Sutter
